We recommend the TECTIC™ 496 frame lock to secure an inexpensive bicycle. The bicycle lock offers good protection with a low risk of theft and is classified as a lock with security level 6. The shackle, housing and supporting parts of the locking mechanism of the TECTIC™ 496 frame lock are made of specially hardened steel. To make your bike even more secure against theft, we recommend using a second lock in the form of an ABUS U-lock or chain lock.
